I love watching a grown man take a bath
You have to focus on taking deep and slow breaths.
Man! I swam at the top of a mountain and that was like 7 degrees and it just took 5 minutes to acclimatise. I don’t know if that is just me or everybody can do that!
Mike: has problems with being in cold water Me: (Laughs in finish)
10:16 idk where that is but it looks gorgeous
50 degrees is just surfing in Maryland during fall
"Do you know what that is in distance? That is one mile." me: that didn't help a lot. 😐
10c is warm
me swiming in a pool when its snowing ahh its nothing him wtf
As long as you have control over your breathing cold showers are pretty nice, I like to shadow box to keep some of my muscles moving lol
Hey, it's December 13th today. I live in Texas and decided to go for a swim at a local lake. The temperature outside was 45 Fahrenheit and raining, after just 30 minutes of swimming, I started to feel disoriented and confused ( also I'd like to add that I did this after 3 days of fasting.) Even after I got out it was at least another hour before I started to feel better. Just wanted to share this.
¶ Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18 KJV
The accessible key importantly list because committee biophysically delight amidst a perfect cemetery. shiny, obsolete comma
I live in Florida, and by brother and I are trying to train ourselves to withstand could water. We plan to take swim at the beach mid January.
50° f is warm
the reason why i will never swim across that river: Jellyfish
Cold shock? I actually have never experienced that even tough i have swimmed in under 10 degrees Celcius at summer time. Maybe because im norweagian lol
I think to myself I could do this I'm a great swimmer until I remember all the potential creatures in the water that drag me under.
I live right next to the freezing ocean and compared to my friends I don’t really get cold.
You should do gun spinning
I feel like you're not average at all.
Here in Finland people do that in the winter when the water is about 0 degrees and no they don't hyperventilate when entering the water
at 7 minutes, dide you gotta slow your breathing down! 9 minutes...nice work man, it's challenging to play in cold water.
Right when you got in the water I coldn't stop laughing
In florida we have this thing called the springs and it’s 75° normally and like 60° at the least. I love swimming in there but I could never go in that lake
Dashlane's all fine and dandy until you need to log into an account on a new device XD
Me doing 130 × 25m a day
Me doing swim for 6 years uhhhh I'm made for the cold water lol... if you don't want to swim in freezing water dont join a swim team
No you’re pies are aful /panic is fight or flight mode ,it’s why people stop running when becoming breathless ,
Try a head bath ,stick your head in a cold sink when hungover (remember to take it out though )
I love swimming am ok ,would like to open water swim ,but concerned about safety aspect of swimming outside ,I am in Edinburgh (used to be based at leuchars RAF)
You didin't say hour ziro
This water temperature is nothing in North Carolina the best swimming river around is is around 45-55 f in the summer
There's everything a beautiful woman, cold water but no Titanic☹️
In my local swimming pool i sit in the cold tub 4 degree celcius for five minutes and take a 2 minutes brake and repeat 5 - 10 times
I have a paddling pool that I was going daily and it was actually colder than that it gets easier
“Im an average person” *swims a mile in freezing cold water wile only wearing shorts*
And u were at my school once
Where do you live so I can come and meet you
I remember going out to visit my cousins who lived on a lake in northern Maine. I don’t swim much most of the year and even though it was summer the lake was still mountain runoff so every year the first few times going into the water it felt like I was dying. The cold water effect is very real
10:58 sampling on the turntables I thought she was going to break out a freestyle :D
Ive swam in -10° water
I grew up with a pool and trained myself to swim and im really good at it
"Are you okay?" lvworld.info/face/video/qpXZo4XCibNmm64
I'm on a swim team and the water in the place is pretty cold. It is a scientifically proven fact that the human body moves faster in water because your heart rate increases. Fun fact of the day
I went from a spa into 14 degree water at night. And I only 10, not that it makes a difference
what was the thing at 9:27
3:43 You are comfortable in 20c room temperature, because you are dressed up, air is stale, air heat dissipation is lower than waters. Air under your clothes is heated by your body and has nearly the same temperature as your body, it dissipate slowly in room environment. Go nude in to draught room which blows constant 20c air, and you'll die. Cold water in shower constantly removes heat from your body away. This is why swimmers and water sport enthusiasts use insulating swimming suits. You do not need to be a hero to swim nude in cold water.
1.6km
Thanks a lot for sharing this and the whole process. Wondering if you shaked in the water after getting acclimated. considering used to cold water for freediving, but the heart rate lowers down, might be hard to get warm, focus on breath hold and not shake. Do you think is possible?
acclimi-what?
I got rid of my cold shock response by going into cold waters since i was 6. I loved the cold feeling you get and the heartbeat jumping suddenly, im sad i cant enjoy it anymore.
Really i jump in a pool thats 5-15°C and im just fine i stayed there for about 1 hour or more
You are gonna swallow a whole lot of shampoo if your heater breaks.
I find really funny that you act like someone is flattening your penis when showering at 21C. What kind of soup are you people used to swim in? It's not normal to experience cold shock at that temperature.
Baby Mike when after he learned how to walk: Running a marathon in under 2 hours.
Is it hot as shit where you live? Fifty degrees is like 25 degrees below room temperature
Dude you inspired me to swim across a 3 mile lake!
One thing i hate about just swimming is anything you ate a while ago gets digested really fast when u go out of the water u r so hungry as fuck 😂😂😂😂😂
A cold shower is not hard. I don’t why he was hyperventilating 😂
9:25 can anyone explain to me what the creature is ? Please and Thank you
An actual entertaining youtuber
I used to have cold showers turned up all the way... I have no idea how I did it
i would just jump in away from any walls xD just a tip
what about the monster of logness
Growing up with a pool definitely helped me get good at swimming and I’d occasionally drop the temp of the pool just to see how cold I could be comfortable in. Turns out very, so cold to the point where I could swim in partially frozen water for a bit without feeling in agony. My endurance in the cold was terrible because my breathing was faster. I still swam across my local lake (about a third of a mile) when it was like 55ish degrees Fahrenheit once but only once and I was so scared at the end I never wanted to do it again.
Learn how to chop a karate board
At this point Mike is no longer average
Where I live 50 degrees Fahrenheit is hot
where?
i been taking a lot of cold showers lately and i can now do 75°🥶🥶🥶
I kinda just realised that about 40% of this video is just Mike taking showers
Guys be careful. Jumping into cold showers after exercise can be extremely dangerous. My father's best friend from childhood died after hopping into a cold shower after a basketball game. He was perfectly healthy and fit, got married a year before that. He was no older than 32. Please allow yourself to acclimate before going into very cold water. This ain't a joke.
Alaskens swimming in 12° rivers fed by glaciers lol 😆
16 degrees celsius is where I swim everyday in Finland. Kinda funny see someone struggle in 19 C°.
same in england, it's 16 rn and 5 in winter
Is he masterbating
are you scottish or irish
scottish
I realized just how not cold the water is and this is coming from a Mexican who is used to hot weather
Just for fun, what's you pet's name?🙃
my grandpa once swam across danube river
Alternate title: Man gets hypothermia while attempting to make a LVworld video
In 8 days he could do 20 minutes swimming in the water that is 10 degree Celcius. Is that possible?
Tap water is 13C
Dude I was about to hack you reddit account but now I need to try harder. Thanks to Dashlane.
I live cold bursts in my showers, helps your muscles relax, and wake you up
I want to jump in that river
Literally that temp is not much because I live in canada in the winter it gets cold way colder than that
Why te fuck did you now swim in the cold water
We saw this man bathe for an ild lady to tell him that what he did was useless
I have swam in pretty cold water before (unwarmed swimming pools in march/april) and for me it helped a lot to keep moving as with every movement, I felt my muscles warm up.
Taking cold showers isnt that bad
Can someone tell mike those aren’t speedos?
If I turn my shower to cold water, it is FREEZING cold water
M
competition pools can get VERY cold
My swimming career was about 7 years long and at one point I was one of Norway’s best swimmers for my age group, I know this video is old but if anybody is reading this I can say this to anyone who is trying to get better now, swimming is hard. and it takes a lot of practice to get really comfortable doing it. But eventually it becomes as easy as walking. My tips becoming better at freestyle are take it slow, breath with one eye over the surface of the water, strokes shouldn’t be right beneath your chest; your arm should be at a ninety degree angle with your hand flat. And your kicks don’t need to be super fast or slow just make sure that they are comfortable in the background that way you can focus on other things. Those are not tips to be a pro, they are tips for beginners.
Northerners YOU DONT KNOW THE MEANING OF COLD.
Him in the shower reminded me of the scene on groundhog day. If you've seen it you know what I'm talking about, if you haven't then, go watch it. It's a great movie!
An advice from a triathlete who did several swims in freezing water: before suddenly diving in the water, try to pour the water on your entire body and let the wind make you feel cold. This might help you
Me: Native American living in Canada swimming in rivers and lakes practically every day every summer Also Me: 'Pathetic'
