In this episode, I learn something I thought was previously reserved only for geniuses: solving the FULL RUBIK’S CUBE BLINDFOLDED!
My journey began over 9 months ago when I Learned to solve the 2x2x2 cube Blindfolded, you can watch that here:

  • For anyone starting out with Rubik’s cubes and are having trouble memorizing the algorithms, I completely recommend trying both and/or one of these: Write down all algorithms you need to know on a sticky note, and then write a bunch of notes until you fill up a normal sized piece of paper with sticky notes. The other method you can try is just taking a note full of the algorithms and having it next to you while you solve, don’t feel bad solving with a guide, that’s what I did. As you continue getting used to what you need to do and the moves the algorithms require, you can cross them out from your sticky note, until eventually you remember all of them. Or you can look at a video for help idk do whatever you want.

  • i before watching this video learned how to solve blind but i took me like maybe a week of half an hour of practice every day. I was not as motivated as you but i still learned easier and way faster. Maybe it was because i had more experience in memorizing stuff and cubing because I can solve it under 10 seconds. Anyway good job Mike! Btw just saying in a real competition you are not allowed to take notes.

  • Mike, there is a Video By a youtuber called J Perm. His Video is On the Pochmann Method for Blind Folded Solving. It uses only one swapping algorithm and just more setup moves that can be learned intuitively This Video Can Help You Solve It Blindfolded a little bit easier. This was the First way that i learned to solve Blindfolded

  • For those who are wondering how it works, we basically memorise where the pieces are located and there is no tracking required after that, as long as you do the correct moves. Mike in this video had to memorise 5 algorithms, when you only need 3, out of which 2 are already known by most intermediate solvers. It's hard to memorise them when you're memorizing moves, but when you memorise the movements, it's a matter of minutes. I learnt blindsolving in about an hour because it wasn't much. I must admit tho, being consistent is hard. I've attempted blind about 20 times, succeeding only 4 times.

  • Just as a suggestion, don't memorise alogarithms as Mike did. Try to find patterns. Like if you memorise the T perm that Mike was memorising you can just use the same algorithm to memorise just perm since j perm is just a reorder of t perm.

    • I am a cuber and this video inspired me to learn how to solve the cube blind (when he uploaded it first). With a basic knowledge of how the cube works, it’s actually a lot easier than he depicts it to be in the video. I learned how to solve the 2x2 blind first, then the 3x3 blind. Both of which have tutorials by J-perm on LVworld. It’s just a process of learning 3 algorithms (2 if you learned the 2x2 blind first) and intuitively knowing how to put a certain piece in a certain spot. I watched this video, learned 2x2 blind, learned 3x3 blind, and had my first successful blind solve in under a week, with only about 5 hours total of work put in to the whole thing. It is definitely worth the work, and you feel like an absolute genius after you solve it the first time.

  • I reverse engineered the scramble from the letters and redid it with orozco corners and m2 edges. If you used the same lettering scheme, which I kind of doubt, my memo for this method was... corners: (UK_O)(GRKQ) A, which I'd memorize as Britain skips Out because of GoRy Ketch(Q)up Art., edges: IPDXCHAWKL, In Play Dish(X)er Car Hits A White Kid Low. If I was doing speed memo, though, I'd make up words, so I'd just memorize CHAWKL for the end.

  • Who ever is learning cube just remember, you cant learn properly like an pro with learning algorithm. Learn it with Muscle memory and boom!!! now you are an professional. Muscle memory- When your muscles of a particular body part get habitual to some kind of regular same moment of that muscle it builts a muscle memory to make it easier. For example- After learning Cycling we dont need to remember how to balance weight on cycle as we have to do while learning it. GOOD LUCK CUBERS😉

You need some logic cuz in order to do it, you need some setup moves to a specific place then do an algorithm.
